Q. When do I use TattFoam?
A. Artists use TattFoam for skin preparation and shaving. This gives the skin added nutrients and support before the tattoo procedure begins. In addition, artists may use the foam during the tattoo to gently clear away ink. All the while your skin gets therapeutic treatment which is calming and soothing. At the end of the tattoo session, artists use the TattFoam to gently clean and prepare your tattoo for the bandage. After removing bandages per your artists instruction, you will use the TattFoam to cleanse your tattoo before applying your aftercare. TattFoam is also an excellent cleanser for daily use after your tattoo heals. It is gentle enough for use on your neck and face.
Q. Will TattFoam remove stencil?
A. No. However, it WILL remove free hand marker. Be careful not to wash over marker that you still need in place for reference.
Q. Why is a pH balanced wash important?
A. The skins natural pH level between 5 and 5.5 is essential to maintaining a healthy mantel. Using a wash that is close to the skin’s natural pH helps support, protect and maintain that mantel instead of stripping it.
Q. How much TattFoam do I use?
A. You will only need a very small amount. A portion the size of a quarter will lather up with water and wash an average sized arm.
Q. Which TattFoam should I use?
A. Our naturally scented TattFoams are designed to condition your skin as well and cleanse it. We recommend the cooling Menthol for skin that is irritated or itchy. Our Lemon Rosemary Foam is excellent for normal to oily skin. Frankincense, Clove & Rose Foam is amazing on sun damaged or thick skin. Key Lime is an excellent source of Vitamin C and is great on normal or thin “crepey” skin.
Q. Why don’t you use Shea Butter in your Glyde & Aftercare?
A. We prefer to use butters that have a higher melt point than Shea Butter. Our butter blend with Murumuru, Cocoa, Mango and Illipe Butters provide a richer, more complex range of healing properties which will heal faster and condition longer. We feel that these offer the best line of skin defense for the first stages of healing.
Q. How much Glyde & Afercare should I use on my tattoo?
A. Start with a very small amount. A pea sized portion of our Glyde & Aftercare will typically cover the area equal to the top of a large hand up into the wrist area. The Glyde & Aftercare is designed to protect the skin with a very thin coat that should not be shiny or gooey. It will not be sticky or attract dirt or dust when applied correctly, but will still provide a protective barrier for your healing tattoo. When you use after cleaning with our TattFoam, you will find that the Glyde will go even further!
Q. How often should I apply Glyde & Aftercare?
A. Reapply Glyde & Aftercare to clean skin with clean hands 2 to 3 times per day or if the tattoo starts to feel slightly dry or tight.
Q. What do I do if my tattoo is itchy?
A. Gently clean your tattoo with TattFoam. Then apply a very thin layer of our Glyde & Aftercare which has 18 anti-itch ingredients. DO NOT SLAP, SCRATCH OR DISTURB THE AREA ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR TATTOO. If you feel you must slap something, slap a limb that is not anywhere near your tattoo… or whoever is closest to you at the moment. Just don’t get caught.
Q. What is TattSylk used for?
A. We recommend using our TattSylk after the “flake stage” of healing. If you prefer using a cream for the first stages of healing you may use TattSylk for this too, but we believe that the best result comes from using our Glyde & Aftercare because 100% of the ingredients are focused on healing your tattoo. After healing TattSylk is for daily use to maintain and keep your ink conditioned and looking great. It is safe for use on the face as well.
Q. How much TattSylk do I use?
A. Just like all of our other products, TattSylk goes a long way! Depending on your skin type, a dime sized portion usually covers the area of a large forearm or the entire arm or a medium to small sized person. Apply to slightly damp skin for best results.
Q. Are Resurrection Tattoo Care Products safe for use on my face?

Q. When can I start using Tattoo Polish?
A. Tattoo Polish is for use on FULLY healed tattoos only. Depending on how your tattoos heal, we recommend waiting 6 to 12 months after your tattoo session.
Q. How often do I use Tattoo Polish?
A. If you are under 35 years old and have normal healthy skin, we recommend once a week or every other week. If your skin is rough and patchy, use two times a week. If you are over 35 use one to two times per week or more if you like to pamper your skin! Follow up with daily use of our TattSylk for best results.
Q. How soon will I see results after using Tattoo Polish?
A. Immediately. Upon using it as recommended over a 30 day period, you will see further improvement.
Q. How long does the effect of the polish last?
A. Results vary. With your first use, you should see improvement all day and for some the effect lasts for 2 to 3 days. As you continue to use the Polish and our TattSylk as recommended, you will see clear results every day. Our products penetrate deep into the skin and support skin health, which in turn impacts the tattoo ink inside of your skin. Our products do not stay on top giving a quick gimmick effect. The reason our products work so well is rooted in sound skin science.
